Raffle Rules

St Helena Hospice is the promoter of the Ruby Raffle 2025.

St Helena Hospice Limited is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 4685.

The draw takes place at the StarVale Head Office (St Helena Ruby Raffle 2025, PO BOX 653, Galgate, Lancaster, LA2 0XB). StarVale Management & Technologies Ltd, is a registered External Lottery Manager licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 3273.

Terms and conditions:

  1. Your purchase of Ruby Raffle 2025 tickets are from St Helena (“The Promoter”), solely under these terms.
  2. All proceeds go directly to St Helena Hospice.
  3. All GB residents who are aged 18 and over may enter the Ruby Raffle 2025, including St Helena employees and volunteers.
  4. By purchasing entries in the Ruby Raffle 2025, you represent and agree that;
    a) You are 18 years of age or over,
    b) You are a resident of Great Britain,
    c) You will not buy or purport to buy an entry to this raffle on behalf of anybody under the age of 18,
    d) You will provide accurate entry information, including your name, personal address, telephone number and email address and accept that it is your responsibility to keep us informed of any changes as soon as they arise.
  5. You shall not be entitled to receive any prize if you cannot show that you have abided by paragraph 4.
  6. The cost of each entry is £2 You may purchase more than one entry and up to 50 entries per raffle.
  7. Payment must be made in advance before you can be entered into the draw. Only entries for which payment has been received in full are eligible to win a prize.
  8. Charity Aid Foundation vouchers or those funded by Give As You Earn accounts cannot be used as payment for entry.
  9. St Helena is not liable for any lost, stolen, delayed, incomplete or illegible entries, delay in bank payments or receipt of any communication. Proof of posting is not proof of delivery.
  10. You accept that St Helena Hospice is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission and that in certain circumstances, may be unable to provide refunds or replacements once you have purchased your Ruby Raffle 2025 entries.
  11. All postal entries must be received by 7th March 2025. Online entries must be purchased by midnight 13th March 2025.
  12. Any late entries will be treated as a donation.
  13. The Ruby Raffle 2025 draw will take place on Friday 14th March 2025. Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone no later than two weeks after the date of the draw. A list of winners will also be published on the Ruby Raffle 2025 website within two weeks of the Raffle draw date. Please keep the entry number as record of proof of purchase. The Promoter reserves the right to use winners’ names for promotional purposes. These will only be used in summary e.g. Mrs Smith from Colchester.
  14. Prizes:
    First prize: £2,040 cash,
    Second prize: £540 cash,
    Plus, 10 prizes of £40 cash.
  15. The draw will be managed on behalf of St Helena by StarVale Management & Technologies Ltd, PO Box 653, Galgate, Lancaster LA2 0XB, an External Lottery Manager licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission.
  16. Winning entries will be randomly drawn on Friday 14th March 2025 using a Random Number Generator (RNG) approved by an independent Gambling Commission approved, third party test house.
  17. All winners will be paid by BACS and notified, using the contact details provided, so there is no need to claim.
  18. The Promoter operates a Complaints and Disputes Procedure which will be made available to supporters on the Ruby Raffle 2025 Website or upon request, or when making a complaint.

  20. The Promoter’s decisions made under these terms and conditions shall be final and binding.
  21. St Helena offers the facility for people to self-exclude themselves from future gambling (from six months up to 10 years). If you want to exclude yourself from future gambling please send back this form or complete the online self-exclusion form. Please be aware that any attempt made to enter any gambling product offered by St Helena during the term of this exclusion will be refused entry, and that self-exclusion is irrevocable once actioned until the end of the chosen period.

Based on previous years response rates, we project that, £15,546 will be raised from ticket sales in St Helena Ruby Raffle 2025, with a projected 19.17% being spent on prizes, 29.08% on expenses and 51.75% being used to fund the work of St Helena Hospice

Based on the same projected ticket sales, the estimated likelihood of winning a prize will be, 1 in 648.
